WIND CAVE AND FAIRY CAVE

Service Description

8:30 AM – Departure from Kuching for a 45-minute journey through picturesque landscapes, farms, fishing ponds, and orchards to reach the outskirts of Bau, a former gold mining town. You will receive a briefing before proceeding to visit the caves. The Wind Cave – a stunning contrast of river landscapes through rock, leading to an entrance on the opposite side of the hill, overlooking the Sarawak River. A wooden walkway takes you through the cave, offering a close-up view of the bats that inhabit it. The Fairy Cave – the larger cave entrance, located just a few minutes from Wind Cave. Access requires some effort but is safe, via stone steps rising approximately 100 feet, followed by an additional series of wooden steps leading to the main chamber. The roof rises above you as you enter through a small side passage. This enormous space has been carved into the rock by water action. Inside, you can admire stalactites, stalagmites, and columns that adorn the main chamber. Return to the van and continue back to Kuching and your hotel.
