Service Description

In the afternoon, depart for the Klias River and its surrounding mangrove ecosystem. After approximately two hours of travel through villages and oil palm plantations, you will arrive at the Klias River; enjoy a coffee/tea break before a motorboat excursion to spot the proboscis monkeys, endemic primates of Borneo. The excursion also offers the chance to observe birds and water buffalo. At dusk, witness the stunning natural spectacle of thousands of fireflies lighting up the surrounding trees like “CHRISTMAS TREES.” A simple local-style dinner is served near the river. Return to Kota Kinabalu in the evening. WHAT TO BRING: It is recommended to bring a camera, hat, raincoat, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
