Next, explore the vibrant enclaves of Katong and Joo Chiat, neighborhoods characterized by stunning Peranakan Baroque architecture and rows of colorful traditional shop-houses dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. A visit to an exhibition dedicated to Peranakan culture allows you to admire costumes, embroidery, beads, jewelry, porcelain, furniture, and handcrafted artifacts, offering a fascinating insight into this unique tradition. The day concludes with a tasting of Nyonya specialties, capturing the authentic flavors of this ancient and refined culinary culture.
