BAKO NATIONAL PARK

Service Description

Depart in the morning from Kuching for a 45-minute overland journey through the mangrove forest before arriving at Bako Fishing Village. Continue by motorboat for about 30 minutes along the coastline of the South China Sea to reach and visit Bako National Park. After stopping at the information centre, begin your walk through the forest. During low tide, you may observe fiddler crabs emerging from their hiding places to feed. Continue along the Paku Trail to search for proboscis monkeys, climbing up to the plateau that hosts various botanical delights and several species of carnivorous plants. After lunch at the park canteen, continue with another forest trek, where you will encounter towering trees typical of the rainforest, enjoy some birdwatching, and try to spot other wildlife. Return to the jetty and then take the boat back to Kuching.
