ANNAH RAIS LONGHOUSE AND BAMBOO RAFTING

Service Description

Morning departure from Kuching to the Annah Rais Longhouse, approximately 75 km away. The journey takes you through breathtaking landscapes, including rice fields, rubber, cocoa, and pepper plantations, interspersed with lush tropical jungle, rivers, and mountainous terrain. Upon arrival at the longhouse, meet the host for a welcome drink (tuak) and a brief orientation, followed by a tour of the longhouse. Take a walk through the tropical forest and learn about the natural resources it provides. Reach a cool stream for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. The local guide will demonstrate how to build a bamboo raft, and you can assist if you wish. Then enjoy a local-style picnic lunch. Embark on an exciting raft ride along the stream, surrounded by the jungle, and soak in the beauty of the rainforest. You may also try fishing with a traditional spear before the rafting concludes. Return via a different trail, bid farewell to the village and its chief, and head back to Kuching.
